Guizi Dan —— Laser Cladding

To address the shortcomings of conventional welding repair techniques—poor compatibility and extremely short service life—the majority of drilling companies have discontinued this method, resulting in massive waste of critical components such as drill pipes and bits within oil enterprises. In response, Guizidan has introduced advanced plasma repair technology.

This technology involves introducing working gas into a specialized structural spray gun and connecting it to a DC power source; high-frequency sparks are then used to initiate an arc, causing the plasma arc to form a highly concentrated plasma beam with extremely rapid jet velocity under the combined effects of electromagnetic contraction, cooling contraction, and nozzle mechanical contraction. Utilizing this beam, in-situ fusion repair can be performed using powder materials from the drill pipe and drill bit bodies, resulting in a dense, pore-free, bright, clean, high-hardness wear-resistant alloy layer with exceptional bonding strength to the substrate on the component surface.

Plasma repair technology exhibits strong compatibility; the repaired tissues and their properties are comparable to those of new products, yet the cost is significantly lower than that of purchasing new drill pipes and bits, offering substantial economic benefits and promising application prospects.
